The Minnesota Licensed Family Child Care Association's mission is "To support the highest standard of care for children in licensed family child care homes through education..." Here are some educational opportunities available to child care providers in Minnesota.
E.L.E.C.T., a new credit-based training initiative hosted by a consortium of twelve Minnesota Community and Technical Colleges. Each of the colleges are offering child development courses on-line, enabling students across Minnesota to access lower-division college courses and to complete the A.A.S. degree on-line. Check out the current classes available.
This website contains information about early childhood education and child development, in-service, and credit based training offered in Minnesota. If you are interested in a particular training listed on the registry, please contact your local Child Care Resource and Referral.
